19/19 concept project
Nośność: B2B steel racking manufacturer · Poland and EU
Buyers set the rack dimensions, see its load capacity and collect items into a quote request they can print.

01The challenge
A warehouse or wholesale buyer does not buy racking from a shopping cart. First they need to know whether the rack will carry their pallets and fit the building, then they ask for a quote, often from several manufacturers at once. This is how I would build a site for a racking manufacturer near Radom that delivers across Poland and the EU: technical data right on the page and a quote request put together in a few minutes, in Polish, English and German.
02What I did
-
A load test on the first screen
A forklift sets three pallets on a beam, the beam bends slightly, and a plate counts up to 3000 kg per level. A slider lets visitors set the weight of their own pallet, and the page picks a matching rack straight away, with a link to the configurator. The animation runs for a few seconds and stops, and with reduced motion the page shows the final state at once.
-
A catalogue with filters
Ten products in four groups. Visitors narrow the list by type, level capacity, height and RAL colour, and every rack has a drawing generated from its dimensions, with a human figure for scale.
-
A configurator that redraws the rack
With sliders, visitors change the height, width, depth, number of levels and colour. The drawing updates at once, and the rating plate shows the capacity from the manufacturer’s tables, noting that it is a guide and the quote is binding. The full capacity table and a printable spec sheet work without JavaScript too.
-
A quote request basket with no prices
Instead of a basket with prices there is a list of items for a quote request: rack, dimensions, colour and quantity. The list stays after a page refresh, and the request can be printed or saved as a PDF with the company header and date. The form requires only the company, email and phone, and the Polish tax number or EU VAT number is checked as it is typed.
-
Three languages written by hand
The English and German versions are written by hand, including the catalogue, product pages and form. The versions are linked, so a customer in Germany lands on the German page from Google.
-
Honestly labelled
The company and its sales engineer are fictional, and the demo form sends nothing, including the floor-plan file. The capacities come from tables in the data, not structural calculations, and are described that way. The photos are AI-generated and labelled on the site.
03Result
A three-language manufacturer website where buyers match a rack to their pallets, check its capacity and put together a print-ready quote request. Speed 90/100 on mobile and 100 on desktop, accessibility 100, and nothing jumps while the page loads.

How customers find this website
- The title says who the company is and what the site lets you do: steel racking manufacturer, catalogue and quote request.
- Google knows it is a manufacturer and knows its contact details and delivery area, and every rack is described as a product, without a price.
- The most common questions are set up so Google and AI assistants can quote the answers.
- The Polish, English and German versions are linked, so Google shows the right language.
- The demo is hidden from search engines, because the business is fictional.
