33/33 concept project

Plisa: women’s clothing brand store · Łódź

Shoppers find their size from their own measurements, see how a piece fits on others and buy a whole look with one button.

Concept project - how I would build a website for a business in this field: women’s clothing brand store. The business and its details are fictional.

01The challenge

Shoppers cannot tell whether to pick S or M and worry about return costs.

  • “S or M?” with no answer
  • The piece is only shown on one model
  • The return cost only shows up in the cart
Full description of the challenge

Clothes bought online most often go back because of the wrong size. The shopper sees a size chart in centimetres and a single model, so she guesses between S and M and worries about return costs. This is how I would build a store for a small Łódź brand that sews short runs: you find your size from your own measurements, you see how a piece fits on women with different figures, and delivery and returns show their prices up front.

02What I did 6 decisions

  1. Two looks on the first screen: part of the Plisa website

Two looks on the first screen

A photo in pleated folds shows two looks on the same model.

    More details

The first-screen photo is cut into vertical folds like a pleated skirt. As you scroll, the folds turn and reveal a second look on the same model. A button does the same from the keyboard, and a caption below says exactly what she is wearing.

  2. Size from measurements, not a chart: part of the Plisa website

Size from measurements, not a chart

The size is worked out from the shopper’s measurements, with the ease in centimetres.

    More details

The shopper enters height, bust, waist and hips, chooses a fitted or a loose fit, and sees her size straight away, together with how many centimetres of ease are left at the waist. The store works it out from the brand’s own cutting chart, not a generic size guide.

  3. A whole look with one button: part of the Plisa website

A whole look with one button

A lookbook outfit bought with one button, with a set discount.

    More details

In the lookbook the photo has numbers on each piece. Next to it is a list with a size choice for every item and a “Buy the whole look” button. The 10% set discount is added in the cart automatically, and each piece can later be exchanged for another size.

  1. How it fits on others

Reviews from women with different figures, with their height and size.

  2. Prices, delivery and returns without small print

The lowest 30-day price, with delivery and return costs shown up front.

  3. A store run from a familiar admin

The owner adds products, colours and looks in the admin herself.

Details of decisions 04-06
  1. 04 How it fits on others

Each product says how tall the model is and which size she wears. Reviews show women with different figures, with their height and the size they bought, so the shopper compares herself with someone like her. The reviews are marked as examples.

  2. 05 Prices, delivery and returns without small print

During a sale the store shows the lowest price from the previous 30 days by itself. Locker, courier and workroom pickup costs are in a table, and a bar in the cart shows how much is left to free delivery. Every promise states its condition: the first size exchange is free, a return costs 12 zł.

  3. 06 A store run from a familiar admin

The owner adds products, colours, sizes and looks in the admin, and the store shows them straight away in two languages. An order goes all the way through with a test payment. Technically: WooCommerce with a custom theme and plugin, PL and EN.

03Result

Shoppers pick a size from their own measurements and buy without asking the store for advice.

Full description of the result

Shoppers know which size to pick before they order, and they know the delivery and return costs before they pay. Speed 92/100 on mobile and 100/100 on desktop, accessibility 100, and nothing jumps while the page loads.

How customers find this website

  • Google knows it is a women’s clothing store in Łódź, with the price, colours and sizes of every piece.
  • Questions about delivery, returns and sizing are prepared so that Google and AI assistants can quote the answers.
  • The demo is hidden from search engines because the business is fictional.
