01The challenge
When a pipe leaks at night, nobody reads long websites. A person with a phone in one hand and a towel in the other wants to know two things: will someone come quickly, and roughly what will it cost. This is how I would build a site for an emergency plumber on the outskirts of Warsaw. It is the demo of the “Calls from Google” package: one page from which customers call or message on WhatsApp straight away.
02What I did
-
A drop that counts the minutes
On the first screen a drop falls from a valve, rings spread across the water and a counter climbs to the travel time. Visitors pick their town and see at once how many minutes until the plumber arrives, in the main headline too. The motion stops after a few seconds and does not distract.
-
Travel times on one ruler
Five towns sit on a ruler exactly at their minutes, from 20 to 35. One glance tells you whether the company covers your area. On phones the ruler turns vertical.
-
Upfront “from” prices
A table of the most common jobs: price from, typical repair time and the night surcharge shown separately. Customers know what to expect before they call, and hear the exact price on the phone before the plumber sets off.
-
“Call” under your thumb
On phones, once the first-screen buttons scroll out of view, a bar with big “Call” and WhatsApp buttons appears at the bottom edge. The WhatsApp message already has its opening line written.
-
Fast despite the animation
The animation is drawn with code, not video, so the whole page stays light. The main headline appears on phones in under 2 seconds, and nothing jumps while the page loads.
-
Honestly labelled
The business is fictional, the number is all zeros and the review is marked as a sample. The photo of a night-time leak is AI-generated, and the site says so under the picture.
03Result
One page that leads straight to a phone call: travel times, “from” prices, how a visit goes and the most common questions. Speed 99/100 on mobile and 100 on desktop. This is the kind of page a tradesperson gets in the “Calls from Google” package.

How customers find this website
- The title says what and where: a 24/7 emergency plumber in Ożarów, Łomianki and Pruszków.
- Google knows the company works around the clock and which towns it covers, because the hours and service area are written on the page in a way it reads directly.
- The most common questions are set up so Google and AI assistants can quote the answers.
- The demo is hidden from search engines, because the business is fictional.
